Threnodies reduce the target's Magic Resistance by a natural cap of 50.^[1]

Testing before 2014 could not be found to determine the relationship of combined Singing/Instrument skill and and the amount of Magic Resistance, but for the purposes of level 99 content it is sufficent to treat the baseline as 50.
Threnody effects do not stack with each other.
Equipment that gives "Threnody +" or "All Songs +" increase the potency of the resistance down and song duration by 10% per +1^[2]
